I will assume that you already know the basics of spell casting and the craft in general. It is also important that you know the basics of visualization and meditation and are able to account for moon cycles and Astrological implications before beginning any magical work. About Wiccan Love Spells Chants, spells and rituals are as old as humanity itself but no other spells seem to fascinate us as much as love spells. Definition of a Spell A spell is simply a set of words spoken which are believed to exert a magical influence and effect on a situation which the person speaking them is seeking to change. Spells are based on the idea that to speak a desire is to cause the desire to be fulfilled. A Guideline for Casting Wiccan Love Spells For all spells, but particularly those concerned with the topic of love, it is crucial that you are very clear about what you want and why you want it. The threefold law of return can bring about threefold bad karma so it is advisable to avoid casting any spells which may cause another person harm! To avoid this, I strongly advise you to examine your reasons for casting a spell and to know exactly what outcome it is that you are looking for. Take a ritual bath or at least wash your hands thoroughly to rinse the negative energy from your skin. Burn some sage sticks, light a candle or sprinkle some salt to cleanse your sacred space. How to Cast a Love Spell Successfully For successful spell work, you must believe in the power of your magic! You need to feel a clear conviction that your spell will work and that it will bring you the love that you desire. Magic can be thought of as the manipulation of energy, keeping this in mind it is important that you do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magical working at a time. The trick to making a spell possess meaning and fueling it with the power to fulfil its purpose is (1) to speak the spell with belief and force and (2) use words that imply the fulfilment of that which is desired. It is not enough to speak of a desired outcome or goal, you must also speak about its materialisation. Otherwise, there is no point to the whole exercise. Whilst spells are usually spoken it is also possible to recite the spell in your mind by thinking clearly and positively about its words. To firmly desire and believe that you will have what you desire, without the formality of magic and rituals, is itself a spell. Tens of thousands of people have received what they desire simply because they believed that they would do so! The use of rituals and spell work are simply tools through which a more powerful invocation of inner powers can be realised. Simply put, spells and rituals are useful in so much as that they amplify and enhance your already existing powers of manifestation. And remember, always keep your mind and heart open to love. The power of manifestation is an incredible tool if you learn to access and harness it. Using Magic to Enhance Already Existing Love If you are already in a loving relationship, even at the early stages of development, then there is no harm in using Wiccan love spells to enhance this development. The spells should only be worked on yourself though, not on your partner! Realizing that it is you, as a person, that your partner loves, you should try to see yourself through her or his eyes and understand which aspects of your personality they find particularly appealing. You could then strive to enhance these aspects of yourself, of course without falsifying your basic nature. Say for example, that your partner values your calmness and ability to solve problems. You know then that this is a quality worth enhancing and you could find a spell through which these aspects of yourself will be enhanced. A Note on Ingredients If possible all components and ingredients for your spell work should be fresh and organic. The word ‘organic’ can be understood here as free from negative energy. This means that, for example, if a spell called for a piece of cloth, it would be better to find or use an old piece of cloth you already own, than to purchase a new piece which has been produced under sweatshop conditions and at great cost to the environment. The same can be said for all other ingredients. Consider where the ingredients come from and whether the energy that they will bring to your spell work is negative or positive. All tools should be consecrated before use. Some spells may call for a potion to be ingested or a salve to be applied. Take care to stay away from allergens and always err on the side of caution when working with ingredients you do not know. A Note about Safety! Many of these and other Wiccan love spells will call for the use of a flame. Candles are responsible for a large number of household fires and I urge you to use and candles or other flames with great caution! Please have a fire extinguisher ready, do not wear long billowy clothing which may catch fire and never leave a candle unattended or burning on a non-flame proof surface!
