Your mind has the power to destroy magical works or to give them life! For magic to be effective you must truly believe that it will work. Once you begin to understand the power of your mind and are able to focus this power into your spell work you will find that the whole universe begins to conspire in your favour. Believe in the power of your spell work! Love Spell Casting Tip #2 - DO Prepare Yourself Before Casting a Love Spell For the sake of good results, it is essential that you undertake some basic preparations before beginning any spell work. Firstly, keep in mind that your energy directly affects the potency of your spell work. In fact, your emotional state pretty much dictates whether your spells will work or not. This means that if you are feeling tired, anxious, angry or stressed it might be best to postpone casting any spells until you are feeling rested and clear-minded. Meditation is a useful tool for improving focus and mental clarity. I recommended a short meditation of 15 mins or so before any doing any spell work. I also recommend taking a shower and wearing clean clothes before partaking in any ritual or spell work as this is a sign of respect to the energies involved. Some Wiccans abstain from meat, dairy and sexual activities for 24 hours prior to spell casting as they believe this further purifies and focuses their energy. Some people believe that abstaining from sex gives them more power to focus into their spell work. Love Spell Casting Tip #3 - DO Prepare a Sacred Space A sacred space where you can enjoy total privacy is super important for successful spell work. The space can be indoors or outdoors, it can be in your bedroom, the study or in the garage. Where the space is located is actually not unimportant. What is important is that you will be undisturbed while using the space. Once you’ve found a suitable spot you can cleanse the space energetically by burning sage leaves or drawing a circle of salt. Love Spell Casting Tip #4 - DO Cast a Circle A circle is a space where you should stay while performing the spell. It is representative of your universe which no one is allowed to enter. While inside of the circle you represent the centre of the universe, a divine force, literally the boss. Depending on your level of concentration you can choose between creating an imaginary circle or a literal one. In magic, the most important things we do are inside of ourselves so if you imagine a circle strongly enough the effect will be the same as if you were to create a physical circle. Not all Wiccans believe that a circle is required for spell casting but if you do decide to create a physical circle you can draw a circle with chalk or form one through placing salt on the ground. Love Spell Casting Tip #5- Do Consecrat Your Tools Before you start any spell work it is important that you consecrate the tools with which you will be working. To do so, place the tools you will be using (these might be crystals, ribbons, candles or whatever else the spell requires) in front of you and say the following words: “I exorcise thee and cleanse thee for my purposeThou art now holy and holy will become anything thou touchSo mote it be” You could also consecrate your tools with cinnamon oil or another oil of your choice. Love Spell Casting Tip #6 - DONT Obsess About the Outcome of Your Spell Once the spell has been cast and its energies released, allow the magic to do its work without interference. Trust that the universe is working for you and rest in the knowledge that your spell will manifest for you the results which you desire. Overthinking and projecting stressful energy onto your spell will dilute its potency and create unnecessary energetic blockages. Over-thinking and stressing about whether your spell is working or not will decrease its chances of success. Trust your own powers of manifestation and success will follow. Love Spell Casting Tip #7 - DONT Be Vague About What You Want One of the worst things you can do when casting a spell is to be vague about what you want. Be specific! The more specific the better. Imagine the exact way your desired outcome would feel. Picture yourself in the situation you wish to manifest as if you were already there. Form a crystal clear image in your mind of what it is you want. If it helps, write down your intention on a piece of paper and refine your sentence down until there is absolutely no other way to interpret your intention other than the one you want to achieve.
